About Celtique Creations

We strive to provide the highest quality embroidery. Our hope is to add a unique and colorful twist on traditional methods and designs. While our focus is on Celtic, Scottish, Irish and Welsh designs, we are happy to do other embroidery, such as monogramming, as well.

If you have artwork that you want to have stitched out, we also offer digitizing services.

Celtique is owned and operated by mother/daughter team Rosemary and Cathy. It encompasses their love of crafting, colors and their Celtic heritage.

They started their embroidery business in 2008 after the passing of their friends Bernadette and John. Bernadette became fast friends with Celtique in the late ‘90s when they met at a St. Patrick’s Day celebration in St. Paul, MN. At the time Bernadette had her own embroidery business and shared her enthusiasm for her work and culture with anyone who wanted to learn. Thus Celtique was introduced to the fascinating world of machine embroidery.

There is also a resident kilt accessories expert in the family, husband/father John. He specializes in handmade Rob Roy style sporrans. These leather sporrans are hand crafted on a 1950s Singer sewing machine. Additionally, he creates unique kilt pins from various parts of a deer’s antler.

Celtique is always looking for new ways to express their creativity, so new items can appear in their online store or at their booth at any time.

After Rosemary and Cathy decided to start their own business, they knew they wanted something different for a name. They wanted something memorable and it should include ‘Celtic’. After pondering names for a few weeks, one jumped out of the mouth of a good friend “Celtique.” It was ‘Celtic’ and ‘Unique’ blended into one word. It was perfect.

It was not until months later that the duo learned that their new business name also meant ‘Celtic’ in French.
